Hump with a sump

Hi, does anyone know if the engine has to come out to replace a sump on a Nissan Almera tino 05 plate or can it be replaced from under the car? Thanks

i dont think it does.

as long as you got clean access to the engine underneath i cant see why you would need to remove it. some cars have sump guards simply remove the guard assess underneath that theres nothing going to stop you from gaining an extraction of the sump and you can access all bolts, some cars have the exhaust tunnel that goes through the sump like the ford zetec engine but you just undo the exhaust pipe and move out of the way.

It doesnt need come fully out. Maybe undo the mounts and
jack it up a bit at most.
