disclosing a neighbour dispute during sale

Hi
i have recently accepted an offer on my house. i am completing the forms from my solicitor and noticed when asking about disputes and problems that it doesnt just refer to an immediate neighbour. it asks about nearby properties.
I have had issues in the past with a property four doors away from us. just small stuff. bits of asb and rubbish accumulating in the garden. they have always responded in the right way, cleared rubbish etc and have been very quiet recently.
My question is do i disclose this? And if not how far could 'nearby' properties be interpreted? It is likely that my immediate neighbour may say something to the new owner because they also had problems with the same household.
Anyone had a similar situation? Thanks

Im pretty sure you only needto diclose disputes where youvehad to complain o another suthority i.e. police, council, etc ( soz using ipad, bad spelling0
-
What you describe doesnt sound like a dispute at all. You ask them to do something and they do it. A dispute would be involve the two sides actively disagreeing strongly over some serious matter - eg boundaries.0

I agree what you describe isn't a dispute and doesn't really seem to affect your enjoyment of living at the property. I had a neighbour who had extremely loud parties twice a week for over a year now that was a dispute!0

That really isn't a dispute....I think you only have to declare a dispute....if it's gone down the official type complaint route !0

Maybe should have given a bit more info but thanks for replies so far. i did approach council because it is a council house. i reported a build up of rubbish in front garden several times. each time the council wrote to them and they sorted it. so there will be an official record of my complaints but it was better than asking them direct because i almost def wouldnt have got such a positive outcome.
thanks

This only has to be disclosed, if you have instigated court proceedings, notified the police, or if it is a council house or a HA, you have had to go to the authorities with complaints.0

Fair enough. thanks. i was just wondering where the line is drawn. these are not exactly neighbours as i would define them. they livea good 100m away at least. the last complaint i put in was because the garden was a mess and i was trying to sell my house. if i disclose this then it could potentially hinder the sale of my property and if i hadnt reported it then i could have hindered the sale anyway. bit of a no win situation because the council dont check up on their tenants.
Oh well i guess ill have to include it and hope it doesnt bother my buyer.
Thank you

I would keep this quiet, you have nothing to gain at all by mentioning this.:eek:Living frugally at 24

I don't think I'd disclose it, as it was just some rubbish in the garden, and just happened to be council tenants.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Thanks. i'll sleep on it and see in the morning. they have been very quiet recently and except for the rubbish not any other issues. i'd be surprised if the person im buying off disclosed information about the people four doors down.
thanks for the advice. will maybe talk to my solicitor friend. ta
