hi
Fidelity recently launched a world index fund. Was thinking about
transfering my fidelity uk index fund to this fund. 0.3 ter like the uk fund and i know this is not as good as vanguard but am very happy with the fidelity platform. Opinions on this fund?
Tracks the MSCI World Index, which covers large and mid-cap companies in developed markets in North America, Europe and Asia Pacific

In my view the details of what a fund invests in are far more important than the TER.
I prefer the MSCI world index to the FTSE100 as it has a far more evenly spread sector allocation. However the downside in my view is that it is more heavily weighted to the US (52%) than is normal or arguably sensible for a UK based portfolio.
So I would suggest that you only transfer part of your UK holding - perhaps 50%. If your total pot is greater than say £10K I would also look at holding some riskier areas omitted in the two index funds - eg emerging markets, small companies.0
