Hi skint spice, I saw that too on frugal queens blog. The problem is the rest of the family they will not let anything go, I think it weighs you down and the money is far better spent on doing stuff than buying stuff.

Yes, it was frugal queen's blog, I like that blog, her methods are too extreme for me but they give you some good ideas and I love the quilts:D I will always love eating out though:o but then again I hate eating out at cheap brewers fayre type places cos I reckon I could do it at home cheaper and better but I like to eat at nice restaurants occassionally.

We are off to the tip soon, I shall empty the garage this year! There's a lot of broken stuff in there needing recycling and a load of tiles and wood from when I got the bathroom done - it all must go:eek::eek: I've promised DS a hot choc & cake somewhere for helping so not a NSD today...

Beanie - it is the room of doom here and I could tidy it but why should I? There was ranting from me about ironing stuff and finding he'd scrunched it into drawers so he's even sorted them out neatly, shame bennetton have vanished:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Yes, that's her pavlov. Do you have a wee linky to yours?

I like that one and mortgagefreeinthree, apart from that it's mainly shabby chic type stuff for me. If only Amy whatisit from the tightwad gazette had a blog...frugal queen would look frivolous:D :D I think it may have been that book that led me to MSE in the first place.

Well I've been to the tip, I've started but there is still a long way to go.... Good news is there is no longer a broken hoover in my bedroom:o and there is a lovely pinky/peachy sky here:D

Sadly my fingers don't work as fast as my brain!

My favourite blog is probably an old member from here, thriftylady who posts at the quince tree. Wish she'd adopt me, her food always looks amazing!

I am delighted to report that I have whizzed through my list of jobs for this weekend and only have college stuff left to do:j:j

DS has tidied his room and informed me he is now £2 richer as he found so many 20p pieces around the floor - looks much better so hope he keeps it that way:o.

It's quite nice here at the moment, hope the artic weather passes us by, I don't do cold well:o

Trying out the donner kebab recipe later from the takeaway book, hoping DS might help out, I've told him we'll cook something from it each Saturday when he's in - hoping by the time he's old enough to move out he'll know how to look after himself...

mr el has cooked a few things from there recently... very impressed with them i must say

They are quite easy too which is good when teaching a boy with a very short attention span:rotfl::rotfl: there's a bit in the book where he said he was trying to work out recipes and someone told him if it was taking more than ten minutes he was probably doing it wrong:D (or words to that effect) I feel I should include harvard referencing here - argghhh:eek::eek:

It's one of those things though el, I think email, mobiles and social networking actually mean that we make less of an effort. It's a great thing for those friends that are further afield but I'm getting lazy about visiting those that are nearby:o Although my visit next week will require a bit of effort (drive and a boat:D).
