Spent rather a lot of money on bedroom furniture yesterday but have had cheapo ik$a stuff since moving in and it's falling to bits now so hopefully this stuff shall last for a good few years:D

Off to make myself some lunch before heading to work, contemplating giving notice to gym as I'm running 4/5 times a week and there are activities at uni, think it's 3 months notice so I'll still be there a while...

oops meant to say I need to paint and recarpet bedroom before furniture arrives:o

Hmmm, I thought that as well when I bought decent stuff for the other bedrooms but it appears it's so decent that DS is taking his with him when he moves out :rotfl:.

Good luck with painting and recarpets. I'm planning on doing bedroom carpets also, the ones we have down were there when we bought the house 14 years ago and I didn't really like them then :o. Having heard of the ash-cloud of disintegrated underlay from someone else on here I'm not looking forward to it, but when DS takes furniture that would be the time to do it, then move furniture from other room into there (where it will be staying) and replace that carpet as well.

Hmmm. Hadn't actually come up with that plan till I read your post SS, so I hold you responsible and will expect 50% of purchase price :D.
