She is amazing and deserves a real treat but...I will be a student n on a tight budget. Mum n dad may help but really it's ideas we need.
She already goes ice skating and swimming regularly with her whole class as our local leisure centre is fantastic and cheap. I suggested bowling but looking at party packages for the ones near us are more aimed at primary school.
My sis got her to her first concert already as she was working for concert security.
Another possible idea is a disco my uncle used to be a dj and is still good n has all the kit even. But lack of suitable halls that don't cost a fortune is a challenge.
Any ideas guys?
Yes it's almost a year away but I wanna be organised n get deposits down etc if needed cos it's a busy time of year
Thanks for reading

Beaver / scout groups hire out their halls quite cheaply, so it could be worth finding out if your local one does.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...
..one size fits all... and nobody minds if you give it back.☆.。.:*・° Housework is so much easier without the clutter ☆.。.:*・°SPC No. 5180 -
Not where I am. All our local groups of this kind use the school halls
Thanks for the idea it may be useful for something else0 -
Have you looked at church halls? We live in a fairly affluent area where everything seems overpriced, but our church hall is £40 for two hours, with use of the kitchen and bouncy castle (probably just for parties of younger kids, although my 11 and 14 year old would love it). Something like this would be ideal as you'd be in complete control and could buy the food and drink bit by bit.0

Does the local leisure centre not have a room they hire out? Or can you privately hire the swimming pool or ice skating rink? Though I realise that may not be a possibility for Christmas Eve.
My son is in the school year above, 13 in March and so far the 13th birthday parties amongst his peer group, have mainly consisted of a disco in a hall.
How many are going to be invited, her form, or a lot from her year or just some close friends? What about a meal if it's not too many people eg pizza hut or Frankie and Bennys?0 -
Knowing her she'll invite the whole year plus there's several from year above n year below she'll wanna ask plus family plus. Friends from our old town (45 min drive away) ...
See what I mean about nightmare keeping costs down? Plus I've a big extended family n they'll wanna celebrate with us too.0 -
Also we've already done the bouncy castle thing. Skating n swimming she does every week with most of class. They do swimming one week skating the next as we're in Scotland n swimming free for school kids.0

Sorry, but she is 13 not 21, it is not such a big milestone that you need to plan a year ahead and invite so many people. Unless you make it so. If you do it will be a rod for your own back in later years 16, 18, 21 all will be expected to be bigger and better.0

I think if you are going to invite that many then really you need to be looking at a hall to hire. I can totally understand you looking early to book something for Christmas Eve, I'm sure 12 years of experience will have already taught you this! Will everyone come especially from another town on this date? A close friend has 2 December born children, one close to Christmas and each year was let down by people not coming at the last minute. In the end she held a 'full-blow out' joint party for her sons, at the end of November and asked people by spring-time. It worked
So, I can totally understand you wanting to organise and invite people early on in the year.:) 0 -
Yes it's more the date than anything. Places get booked up really quickly n some don't operate at all. Plus if for any reason my uncle is not possible as a dj I need to organise entertainment. It's also so I can cost it to organise deposits/saving. Also hoping to be at uni doing teacher training by this time next year n may have assignments to do so want it all organised by August0
