Why not held at the place of work? I always think interviews not at the place of work are a bit dodgy
I don't understand, from personal experience I found it was always better to have an interview on neutral territory. One thing it is less intimidating. As for an explanation, maybe his factory wasn't open to hold interviews there0 -
Less professional maybe too. Would you meet someone wanywhere? Like a train station coffee shop? Out in a car park in their car?I don't understand, from personal experience I found it was always better to have an interview on neutral territory. One thing it is less intimidating. Wasnt open? Funny that a hiring manager has no access to the building. We’ve had to remove your signature. Please check the Forum Rules if you’re unsure why it’s been removed and, if still unsure, email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -

My experience was having interviews on neutral territory in places like Hotel conference rooms and pub banqueting halls etc where the reception were already expecting you to attend. Agree with you though not a good idea to meet someone in a car park or train station coffee shop. I wouldn't recommend anyone to do this and turn up where no-one knew where you were going0 -
Yes a booked place that is a professional place is good but I have been to places where they have no room booked and been taken to a coffee shop where I thought WTH!My experience was having interviews on neutral territory in places like Hotel conference rooms and pub banqueting halls etc where the reception were already expecting you to attend. Also once a long time ago an agency called me who was not based in central London and asked me to meet them at Waterloo station in a coffee shop and when I refused he was baffled as to why I thought this was not wise! We’ve had to remove your signature. I actually know of a few people who interviewed Xmas Eve and Boxing Day.
Including my partner's office, where they were merely doing skeleton days due to a lack of work at this time of year and they did it then, as it wouldn't be putting them behind on anything else.0 -

As someone has already suggested, we always try and hold interviews at a neutral location. We feel for one thing thing it puts candidates more at ease.Fantastic news!
How lucky you are to have been sent 10 applicants who not only turned up but also had immacculate attitudes and work ethic!
Amazing.
Wonderful.
Briliant.
Unbelievable.
Yes appear to be fortunate. I feel though it is fantastic news for the workers who will get money in their pockets rather then myself who just took em on. Unfortunately though one of them called me today and turned the job down stating they had personal issues at home so made need a replacement with hopefully the same enthusiasm to work as already shown by the others.0
