Honda CRV import help!!

Hello,
My father has just bought a japanese import Honda CRV, which is a nice car, but the navigation and audio console is in japanese. Can anyone help me with this please.

unfortunatly not alot you can do to be honest....is the car to UK spec? you will find that particulary the glass is usually of a lower standard and will not meet UK min spec criteria?

It is possible to import a car from Japan to full UK spec but it is a minefield and something you should be very wary of!

If your car does not meet UK spec you may find that main dealers will refuse to service it....there is always the option of non mainstream servicing though

I would check with the build data sheet to check for conformity...the certificate of conformity is issued along with the vehicle to confirm its compliance with min specs of the import country

I have imported many many mercedes prior to the Euro....i have some copies of my conformity certificates somewhere

I would visit https://www.honestjohn.co.uk, register and post your question on the forums (The Back Room - left hand side of page under John's picture) on there.

I suspect there will be a setting on the console to choose the language.

These days main dealers will service anything (including your granny), in exchange for cash, as the market is open for servicing to be carried out at any garage.
