Android Tablet Update -ICS to JB

I got a Samsung Galaxy tab2 7.0 for Christmas. It was running android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Yesterday it automatically updated to 4.1.1 which I believe is Jelly Bean. Anybody else get this? I have noted that it appears to run a little smoother but also there are for more Apps available in the google-play store.

My Asus Transformer Prime TF201 also came with ICS, but has updated about a month ago to JB. I have had further firmware updates since.
Just waiting for 4.2 to be available - but they seem to be good at updating.2021

I got the missus a Nexus 7 for Xmas. When I was setting it up before wrapping it then it ran an update ... I think this was to 4.2.1? Different devices will update to different versions at different times, based on whether or not it uses Google's Android versions and update servers, or whether it uses a skinned Android version and so is dependant on when that manufacturer provides updates.0
