Advice Needed

I would be grateful for any advice. I am nearing my divorce financial settlement from the sale of my ex marital home, and need advice on what is the safest way to invest my money towards a secure future for myself. My brother-in-law says I could stay with him and invest my money in a business or issa's or the property market.
I am also worried that my staying with him would cause him problems as he is on benefits which may be affected.
Also I have a pension sharing from my ex. I have been told that I would need to put the pension sharing fund into an external pension and need advice on what to do their as well. I don't want to fritter away my future security.
Please any advice would be welcome.

Many thanks
Rocky

I'd go and see a independant financial adviser. Might be worth finding one which you pay for so you get truly impartial advice rather than one who works on comission and so has a vested interest in selling you something. If you make it clear up front that you just want advice and won't be buying anything. At least thats what I would do.
