Paypal query

Hi all. I bought an item on ebay yesterday for £10.98, and paid straight away via paypal. I have received a message from the seller today, saying that they incorrectly spelt the e mail for their paypal account and are therefore unable to collect the payment. Would it be possible for me to cancel the payment and then they will send an invoice to me via e mail.

Is this legit? I buy quite a lot of things on ebay but Ive never had a request like this before so wasnt sure if it was normal caper

happens quite a bit.

first thing to do is check your paypal statement online, the payment next to this amount should say "unclaimed" if it says this then you can cancel it.

The seller should then invoice you for goods through paypal, as long as they do this you can pay it and still be covered under paypal protection.

Done it a few times no problems.

Oh, and do everything through the paypal site. If they send you an invoice don't click links in it but log onto paypal as usual and the invoice should be there to pay.
