Can anyone tell me if there is a way of changing supplier when you live in rented accomadation? We seem to be spending a lot but are unsure that we can do much about it.

If you are personally paying your energy bills then you can choose who supplies you.
Find who you'd like to supply you. Give them your customer details that you'll find on the bills from your current supplier and they will switch you to their company.
It is not too hard.
Good luck,

Check your tenancy to see what it says about utilities. Unless it specifically states you cannot change then you shouldn't have a problem, although it would be corteous to advise him/her you plan to switch.0
