you can often get free photos printed from many of the companies selling print services, eg.

The normal prices will probably be better than diy ink and paper costs.

City ink want £28:50 for 600ml

    Ink.co want £6:68 for 600ml

So, I could hardly recommend the lesser money saving option

£6.68 seems a bit like those "cheap" Ugg boots that we read so much about on MSE :D:D

Their awards would contradict the view

" Due to many years of positive product experience, we are so confident of our products’ quality, that we offer you a 10-year warranty* and 104-day money-back guarantee on all purchased items. "

Maybe Fotrite have won awards too but they are keeping them quiet if they have, and no mention of a ten year warranty either.

We really are in the realms of silliness here..............

A "ten year warranty" (note the unexplained asterisk !) - exactly on what ? The bottle not leaking ? Certainly not on colour fastness, ALL inks will fade. I have seen one photolab advertising a 200 year life on their inks :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl: I regret I don't believe that one either....
    "104 day money-back guarantee" - why not 105 days ?

Your last link doesn't even show the "quote" that you reproduce and the only prices on the earlier website seem to show vastly different (higher) prices than those you quote.

Unless your sister needs professional standard printer, I would recommend this:
    http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/canon-mg3150-wireless-all-in-one-inkjet-printer-15694899-pdt.html

Easy to use, can leave it quite long peroids and then it prints first time when starting up, and costs less than most do for a set of ink cartridges.

Certainly are, and all of it from you

Here is the warranty, if you do not like it, write to them and ask them to change it to suit you

" Unexplained asterisk??? " Easy to find out if you were not so preoccupied with trying to pick holes

*excludes rechargeable batteries and bluetooth devices

    Prices: £1:67 for 150ml so £6:68 for 600ml.

Why are you criticising ink which has won awards and is over 4 times cheaper than the stuff you keep linking too? Hardly seems sensible on a money saving forum.

This place is usually pleasant but having to deal with incorrect responses from your sort makes it a complete chore

I'm sorry, but I'm just as cynical as the other user of "awards" and "guarantees" for a product so ridiculously cheap.
I'm of the opinion that if an offer seems too good to be true it usually is.

Have you actually used this "award winning" ink?

    I do use it.

The "awards" seem to be simply reviews from one edition (2009) of a German magazine.
I'm not particularly impressed with "Prints sensitive to water, saliva and sweat"

I think it's a case of getting what you pay for. Thanks for posting an alternative, though.
