    I have often wondered about this but how do you vacuum them for the return journey?? can just imagine not being able to take all my clothes back home:rotfl:

    You can get slightly different vacuum bags designed specially for suitcases - you don't need a vac, they have a one way valve and you expell the air by rolling the bags up tightly. Probably don't get quite so much air out as with a vac but they do work fairly well.

    I have the ones you just roll, Toscos had them cheap a while ago so I bought a few.

    We used them for our return from Florida and they were a god send as DS had bought so many toys and gifts and my mum decided to bring home ALL of the drinks cups we'd bought over there, the ones were you paid so much and got free/cheap drinks all day (we bought one each day we were at parks but brought the others as spares to fill up from the one with that days sticker on). She ended up bringing home 7:eek: and they're all still in her suitcase because no one wanted them :rotfl:

    Sorry to hear this.

    The last time I saw my neurologist, the nurse told me he will be so glad to see me as the 3 people due before me hadn't turned up for their appointments!
    He had been sat there waiting for 2.5 hours and saw me early.

    It seems crazy to me that people desperate for an appointment can't get one, and some of those that are getting appointments just don't turn up.

    People who don't turn up for their appointments need shooting quite frankly :mad::mad::mad: it cost the NHS a fortune in wasted time, and the courtesy of a simple phone call saying tat they can't make their appointment then gives the opportunity for another patient to have tat appointment. Dentists charge for missed appointments, the NHS should do too. Yes, I am aware that post doesn't always reach its destination, but for it to apparently not reach 3 or 4 out of every 12 patients is bulls poo :mad::mad:
    hey thanks i phone dmy docs today to see if there was another consultant/hospital/board i culd go to/use and was told only if i pay privete cant afford this other wise we will lose all our house deposite and more :(

    i totaly undersand why theres waiting lists as long as there is for the consultans i see as he seem to neva want to see any one , :mad::mad:

    this kind of thing shuld be classed as abuse of job as his words were " its not worth it " have upset me to no end i dnt mean to go on so much but o/h went back to work as we cant afford the time off and im feeling so deflated , how can he say "not worth it " when he know what ppl in my position go throu just to have a baby:(

    blood still boiling:mad::mad::mad:

    That's just not fair, you've every right to be upset.:(

    Also just had a phone call to cancel my appointment with Orthopaedic
    Surgeon on 14th Jan - next available appointment November - also not happy as this one had already been postponed twice :mad:

    I would very seriously suggest that you both write to the chief exec office of your respective hospitals. Don't bother with PALS as it won't go through the chains of management that it needs to go through. A simple letter based on facts is quite often all it takes. But leave emotions out if it as it doesn't achieve anything. For example, something along the lines of " I was very disappointed that my appointment for X date has been cancelled yet again. I feel tht the alternative of X date is not acceptable as I will then have been waiting for X amount of weeks/months to resolve my health issues. I would like to know what you are going to do about this completely unacceptable situation" etc

    It also helps if your gp writes in support too.

    The sad fact is though that the NHS is being destroyed by bit by the government. It's not enough to cut staffing levels to beyond breaking point, they want to affect patient services too by cutting those back to almost nothing :mad:

    Sorry. Rant over :)
