Evening all - still in PJ's after phone call about appointment. Still I should be used to it. A couple of years ago saw the same Consultant (he is fantastic when you actually get to see him) and he told me not to pass go, needed an immediate admission and operation, Asked if I could take my car home and pack some things,
First of all told No, stay and wait for a bed, then told OK as no beds available. Go home and wait for phone call.
No call that night, next day phoned hospital, no one had any idea I was on an emergency list or could trace any info.

This went on for two days, then Mum had serious fall and ended up in same hospital with two broken arms.

Practically lived at hospital with Mum and chased up my admission every day for a week, just going round in circles, then gave up as Mum needed me to look after her.:(
