If its from a garage you are covered, it has to be roadworthy and as advertised ...........its the private sellers that can sell you a pup and turn around and say sold as seen....

It is really hard isn't it Bubbs. I fell out with my brother the day after my mums funeral, to be honest it was a long time coming. But when he was ill just before Xmas I had to see him, I think before my mum passed I probably would have dug my heels in and not gone but losing my mum made me think again.
Thankfully he is on the mend but I am still keeping my distance, I can't cope with their (mainly his wife) constant drama.
At the end of the day you need to do what you can live with, I will never have contact with my dad again as he was horrendous and wouldn't visit him to hear his last breath but I think he's about the only one now - I'm definitely mellowing.:D
After all my rambling I think what I am trying to say is you can wish them well and even visit without forgiving them or becoming too involved.
Just make the right choice for you. xxx:)
Very wise words, FloFlo.:T0 -

My tesco shopping and wombling days are over...
whilst out walking my dog yesterday i collapesed and had a seizure bit a huge bit of clean of my tounge, bruised face, black eye, wet myself (dont laugh) the only thing i remember is waking up in an ambulance 1/2 hour later. blood tests all ok..they say they think ive had an epileptic fit..therefore i can longer drive for at least a year...
im the only one that can drive as im already a carer for my wife..
we live in a small village..only a couple of shops no tesco..
everything is going to change now i have no car. cant go to tesco. cant go on either of the 2 holidays we have booked.
so on monday ive got to go to the GP and arrange brain scans and EEG's. and then hope for the best that it was just a 1 off, but either way its looks like i will lose my licence..

ive got so many questions to ask.what, if, when etc.

had a quick look. Not much ending tomorrow, just a couple of pages so less than usual. Most of the main ones, ie half-price ones, have been rolled over, ie fruit offers and the Tommy Tippee big ticket stuff (to 15/1/13 for anyone interested in keeping an eye on the the pumps/sterilisers/bottles). Heinz baby foods changing from 3 for £5 to 2 for £3. Some nappy offers ending. Otherwise, there is a lot of specialist/world food offers ending but I have no idea what the products are
Thanks for that0 -

Supermarket Price Comparison
Proposed Private Members Bill by John Denham MP
In a tough economic climate, consumers need to know that they are getting the best possible deal. But despite the growth in online supermarket shopping, most have to shop around in much the same way they did decades ago. How much better it would be if consumers had, at their finger tips, comparative data on the price of goods, not just retailer by retailer, but shop by shop, product by product.
On January 15th I will be introducing a private members bill in Parliament that would require supermarkets to make available, in an online format, all their pricing data by product and by store.
This Bill would enable both existing price comparison services and the creators of smart phone apps to find innovative ways of making this data publicly available. I anticipate this would not only give consumers the ability to compare the price of their weekly shopping basket at each major store, but the transparency would also force supermarkets to put an end to the kind of misleading ‘special offers’ that we see so regularly.
In the past year, there has been some strong criticism of some pricing policies, most recently reflected in the OFT report that gives new guidance to supermarkets. For example, in March, The Grocer magazine found that in a major Tesco price-drop campaign, more items went up in price over 6 weeks (3,258) than went down (1,962). Tesco allegedly created the illusion of a big price drop by moving prices up just before the campaign. For example, Tesco placed ads in newspapers showing its own label cream of tomato soup“Was 59p, Now 45p”, however, six weeks before this ad was placed, it was just 46p. More recently, Which? looked into misleading multibuy deals, finding a long list of bad deals, including a Goodfella’s Deep Pan Pepperoni pizza initially on sale at Asda for£1 that went up to £2.50 for one or £4.50 for two in the multibuy ‘deal’. The reason why these deals keep on popping up is because there is no comprehensive way in which to monitor these bad deals.
We need a comprehensive way to police these misleading offers, and make sure that shoppers are getting value for money right across the country. Making price data accessible online would make such policing much easier and far less time consuming for public agencies and retailers alike. More effective market scrutiny might reduce the need for further regulation and codes of conduct. More transparency would highlight where supermarkets price things differently depending on which part of the country you live in, and let you know if you’re really getting a bargain.
In principle, price data like this is publicly available. All consumers need is an army of volunteers to go into every store. But I believe that there is a simpler way. My Private Member’s Bill, to be introduced in the House of Commons on Tuesday 15 January, would make sure shoppers are really getting value for money.
Iv had this e mail and only just read it properly, wondered if its good or bad..
