Yes both my m-I-l and my mother had November birthdays within a week of each other so November has always been difficult for us as has October half term when my mother died suddenly in her sleep. My mil was diagnosed in the new year and died about 10 weeks later and we took over her care right from the start.
So basically that's end of October thought to the start of April that is a bad time for us - the whole of winter.
You just have to grit your teeth and keep looking forward

The sun is creeping back and winter is edging away :)

Anyway just had a text from eldest child with an update on her future mil and she is still stable so this is excellent news, more prayers and positive thoughts for tonight if anyone has any spare.

    :)

A friend who I went on many holidays with, walked our dogs together & was generally part of the furniture has died from cancer :(
But credit to her when I last saw her a month ago, in a wheelchair, very frail & a shadow of her previous self - she went off to Egypt :)

When we used to bimble back down the street with the dogs,
dogs hoovering up kebabs & burgers :p we always stopped & read the Deaths Cards on the newsagents window.
She always used to say 'we're ok we're not on here' :rotfl: :)
I wondered as I read her card today if she was chuckling by my side? ♥
    More than likely

Also in sada Turkish Delight thins are down to 25p :T but dont put them in a sada v tosco shop as in Tosco they are still £1.

Also noticed on a rec Sada have After 8s for £1 but these are still £3 in tosco so they could also ruin a comparison shop.

I suppose in theory you might want to risk buying 4 boxs of after eight in tosco if you have TPPs that need using up - 4 boxs for £12 in the hope of a £8 TPP return. I dont think I would risk it though personally .

MSM still has After 8s at £1.50 for A, so are you sure it's the After 8s? They are £3 in T though so £1.50 difference. They were £1.50 in M's last week but are now back to full price there, so no longer avail. (except NI yet again sorry) for £1.35 net. and a price alert is now added back to tell me when it drops elsewhere. So in the meantime it's back to the own-brand mint th*ns - Sada vs whoever it is on those.

I try and seperate the things I can do something about and have any influence over apart from all the other things, everything else that I can't have any control over.

So most things at the moment are in the lap of the gods, I can't influence or control anything or anyone. It's all down to fate

All I can do is keep going forward, keep things as normal as possible at home so its a base for everyone to come back to and keep control of the budget incase anything else goes belly up.

And think lots of positive thoughts plus a bit of old fashioned prayer can't do any harm :D

It's quite shocked me how low you can feel and how quickly you can tip over the edge. But at least I know where abouts I am on the cliff edge and I have strategies for dealing with things so they don't get any worse

We're here for you mhoc *hugs*
