    afternoon lovelies,
thought I had better blitz the en suite bathroom in readiness for OH if he comes home tonight.
Just started and the phone rang, it was work.
The head of department has refused me leave for friday, end of story!!
I told my manager that it was disgusting and appalling and that there was no way I could leave OH as hospital had stated he was at risk of a bleed for 48 hours after discharge.
In the end they got another girl to cover for me but I will have to work 6 days in a row next week in exchange.
At least it is sorted but I am livid, reason they gave was there was not enough notice.
I replied " so if he had an accident and was in hospital would you still need notice ? because the result is the same"
She couldn't answer, but came back with some remark about seeing my point.
Sorry, won't mention it any more but blood pressure through the roof and extra stressed as I know he is in theatre now.....will go get that tea, me thinks...thanks guys. xx

take care, have a fab finger with your tea and try to relax for a bit. At least it was conceded they could see your point, even if it was unofficial.
Hate the waiting! Hope he's ok later, and only comes home if its the right thing.

Hi Wendy. Sorry your head of department is being such a jobsworth, but pleased you stood your ground and got the time off, even if you do have to do 6 days in a row next week.
Some people have no compassion. How would she feel if the situation was revers

Notice that Vinnies Barrels, !!!!!! and York fruits are not on As website but all still showing as full price and part of the 3 for £10 on MSM. Even though the OP has reported them to be reduced. Do our resident experts think this means anything good?

Hello all, hope everyone is ok. it seems most people are off back to work today and my other half included.

he missed me and baby so much he came back home on his lunch break which was nice. its good to feel missed!

So after finding you all last April I have new vigour to really hit this year running. The loft has plenty of loo roll and my stash is looking ok of cleaning and cereal , the shed still has loads of coke and robinsons and the freezer is full so I know it might seem sad to some but I'm sure I'm in good company when I say I'm going to do an inventory of my stock!

Does anyone have an excel spreadsheet for there stock?

Or does anyone have a good budget excel spreadsheet.

I want to keep a daily tally of all expenditure as well as weekly monthly and for the year so I can really see where we spend our pennies and get a true running cost.

Would really appreciate if anyone can share or has tips

its not sad this year im running my house like a bussiness and its going to start making money lol i mean more ebaying and growing veg fruit etc, saving rain water for plants garden jobs kids to play with , so im doing same with food making lists and rotating stuff , and this way i can keep controll

Brilliant news about the river dropping.
You can concentrate on some serious glitching again now without being distracted by flooding.

Last week, my girlfriend and I were getting into bed. As our passion began to heat up she said, "I don't feel like it. I just want you to hold me." I said, "WHAT?! What was that?!" She said, "You're just not in touch with my emotional needs as a woman enough for me to satisfy your physical needs as a man." She responded to my puzzled look by saying, "Can't you just love me for who I am and not what I do for you in the bedroom?" Realizing that nothing was going to happen that night, I went to sleep. The next day I took off of work to spend time with her. We went out to a nice lunch and then went shopping at a big department store. I walked around with her as she tried on several very expensive outfits. She couldn't decide which one to take, so I told her we'd just buy them all. She wanted new shoes to go with her new clothes, so I said, "Lets get a pair for each outfit." We went on to the jewelry counter where she picked out a pair of diamond earrings. She was so excited. I started to think she was testing me because she asked for a tennis bracelet. I threw her for a loop when I said, "That's fine, honey." She was nearing sexual satisfaction from all of the excitement. Smiling with excited anticipation, she finally said, "I think this is all dear, let's go to the cashier." I could hardly contain myself when I blurted out, "No baby, I don't feel like it." Her face went completely blank as her jaw dropped with a baffled, "WHAT?" I said, "Honey! I just want you to HOLD this stuff for a while. You're just not in touch with my financial needs as a man enough for me to satisfy your shopping needs as a woman." Just when she had this look like she was going to kill me, I added, "Why can't you just love me for who I am and not for the things I buy you?" Apparently I'm not having sex tonight either... but at least she knows I'm smarter than her.
Something unexpected happened which made me smile and still continues to make me smile.
