This is off my saved lists on MSM. I keep adding/taking away stuff from various lists when I go through the offers of the various stores. (It's just kept expanding to the point where it is now.)0 -

This post has brought back vivid memories of my parents. My mother passed away 14 yrs ago and yet it does seem like 14 hours ago.
A couple of years ago I was up in the loft looking for something when I found an old scarf that belonged to my mum, when I put the scarf to my face I could smell her perfume and felt as if she was sitting on the loft floor beside me. I had to stay up there for a while so no one knew that the tears were streaming down my face.
The pain never leaves when a parent passes, I still to this day shudder when I think of my mum.
On a happier note...I have enjoyed all the tales of glitches and hauls and may it continues next year!
I raise my hat to you all...a good bunch of peeps.
I wish one and all of you a healthy and glitchy coming year. xx:beer::beer:
Oh Jax 25 I just had to post as the exactly the same happened to me last week I was looking for DD's duplicate santa sack and I found a box with Mum's things. They smelt just like Mum and for a moment I was transported back with her right next to me. Like you I sat in the loft and cried. Smells always bring back memories for me. Mum left us 2 years ago on the 1st Dec and I miss her every single day. Christmas is always hard. I long to be able to put a present (or many) for her under the tree. I have a little set of advent pegs and the first year DD and I wrote a note each day about what we loved about her. I have read it each year since and I keep it safely in a box under the tree. Mum would have loved hearing about you all and all the bargains. I would like to think that she had a hand in my finding you all.
I am sorry that I have not posted much recently, and I have not caught up but want to send hugs to all those that need them.
Will not get a chance to catch up either as OH and DD are taking me to Legoland Hotel for my birthday this weekend. Lol!
My NY resolution will be to keep up with the thread and try to post more often.
Here's to a better 2013 for all xxWhen I grow old, I dont want people thinking "what a sweet old lady" I want them to think
"oh carp what is she up to now!"0 -

Good night everyone, and I'm sure Dave will keep everyone up unless I interrupt his posts (a belated thank you for this 'new' thread along the way).
Goodbye for now.0 -

I must thank whoever over ordered :rotfl:
Catching up by going back and forwards, just read this and that is exactly what I thought that my store had overstocked on the party food. Hopefully a few others will have too. I noticed lots of packs in mine are dated 31st.0
