Interesting approach from Parcel Monkey!

Received today, happy Christmas!!

Dear Sir/Madam,

Following information provided by our courier partner we have made an additional charge of £3.40 to the credit/debit card you most recently used for purchasing shipping from Parcel Monkey.

The information provided when the order was created declared a nominal weight of 6.00kg made up of 1 box: 31x24x24cm @ 6kg

When weighed, laser scanned for precise measurement and volumetrically calculated by the carrier, they have informed us that the correct billing weight was in fact 6.22kg.

As we are charged for each kg handled by our courier partners, we have no alternative but to take this additional payment, as was specified and agreed to at the time of booking. Additional charges are made clear to all customers at the time of booking and are covered in Section 3.6 of our terms and conditions.

Sorry but not too sure that there is an issue. You gave an incorrect weight they corrected it and charge the appropriate weight.

Unless you can prove the weight wasn't 6.22KG and was under 6KG as per the original order you will have to take the extra on the chin.

Agreed and if you feel your time is just worth £3.40.
