Hello all,

Long story short. Currently with EDF so after searching Simply Switch i signed up to move to Sainsburys energy as it worked out cheaper that the tariff i was on (standard) according to me EDf bill.

This was end of october 2012. Since then i have no letters, no emails and on ringing Sainsburys they have no record of my request to switch. Simply Switch are not currently answering the phone.

HOWEVER, i remembered that i had signed up for a deal with EDF back in November 2011. I had assumed it had ended. Looking back at my bills it had never actually started. . Calling EDf they advise that i should have been moved but it never happened. And i should have been fixed till July 2014. Given this was 2011 and they are now going to back date and fix me on the original deal till 2014. i would assume given all the recent price hikes that i will be much better staying with EDF.

Given i have heard nothing from Sainsburys can i still cancel if they do contact me to advise of the switch at some point in the future?
Better in my pocket than theirs :rotfl:

You need to speak to Simply Switch. They aren't answering the phone because it's 4pm on Christmas Eve...

you would think they would not let the phone ring if they were closed.

If the switch has not occurred, there is nothing to cancel (although advising Simply Switch after Christmas would be worthwhile - nothing is going to happen over Christmas)

You could ask EDF to refuse any request to switch away; they usually issue a 'sorry you are leaving' notice anyway allowing you to cancel a switch if they do receive such a request.
