Sainsburies Self Service Till - Scales

Not massively interesting but I'm bored at work and we can't go home till 12.
I was in Sainsburies yesterday and used the self service to pay. I accidently pressed the loose produce button on the till for new potatos. I had nothing on the scale at all and yet the till said I owed 10p!
This would imply that when you use these scales they charge you more than they should (in this case 10p more).
Its only 10p so not really a crisis. I just thought it was quite interesting (I suspect many people won't find it so).

It will probably be a minimum charge or the scales need re-calibrating.0
