Hello
I'm a bit of a newbie at credit cards, I got my first one about 2 months ago! I have a question about paying it off.
I've clicked the section with my credit card, then I clicked 'Pay Santander Credit Card', then typed out my bank details at clicked pay total balance of £72, confirmed it, typed out the 'verify' thing with the password and it's all gone through. But it hasn't shown up on either my credit card saying it's paid, or my debit card....? As you can tell from my username I'm a student and I don't want to pay any interest or anything because I need that money for food!!! :P
Any advice?
Thanks

Shown up where?? Has it been debited from your current account? Unless you have online access to your credit card account, you won't see the payment until the next statement.
Why don't you just set up a Direct debit for the full amount? That way you won't need to worry about it in the future.0 -
The payment won't show before the next update (early morning hours) it might even take two or three working days.
Next time use Faster Payment transfer from your account:
Sort Code: 09-00-99
Account Number: 01000007
Reference is your 16-digit Credit Card Number.
Faster Payment gets credited to your account immediately on arrival
(at least during business hours).0 -
Thanks, I'll wait til wednesday before I start panicking then!
I had set up a direct debit for the full amount but for some reason that hadn't gone through either...so I don't really know what's going on with it.0 -

Yes, that's the way I pay Santander ZERO. I pay via my Nationwide account. Generally appears instantly.
I personally think DDs are more trouble than they are worth. But OP, it sounds like in this case the DD just wasn't set up in time for the first payment. (I think they can't take the payment until they've given you notice of the amount to be taken via the preceding statement.) Look to see what your next statement says about payment being taken by DD. As for this payment, yep agree with the above. You'll probably see it in a couple of "working" days. Even though the transaction doesn't yet show on your current account, I would expect to see it reflected in the "available" balance.0 -
If the DD wasn't set up and so you didn't pay when due, expect to pay some interest.0
