RBS: You'll get a refund of the full amount requested. If you asked for £50, but only took £30, you'll be reimbursed for the full £50.
So the moral of the story is to ask for £100, and leave £10 in the machine?43580 -

Bit slow as jurno's go here :rotfl:RBS: Customers of any provider who withdrew cash from an RBS, NatWest and Tesco ATM between January 2005 and March 2011 and didn't take some or all of their cash will be refunded, as long as they didn't get this money refunded at the time.
Now as someone who has seen the list and checked some accounts.
Some people have already had the full amount back at the time. As they disputed it at the time.....
Great how these banks are saying THEY are giving it back. All they have done is provided each bank with a list of the cards used, the amount. Then left it to each bank to set up a process to refund their customers.
We are also noticing people call in saying they did not get cash from these periods....
Funny how they never said anything at the time :rotfl:
Shame we have to tell them, tough... Only 120 days to dispute.Barclays: Regardless of who you bank with, Barclays says it's always been its policy to refund any cash retracted at one of its ATMs, without you having to ask for it back.
Would they care to explain how their atms do this then....
Customer fails to take cash. It reverses and then within seconds redebits the customer....
Out right liars....The Co-operative: Regardless of who you bank with, in most cases money retracted will be returned to customers' accounts. Customers who haven't received their funds automatically should contact their provider.
Most unreliable ATMS going. See more disputes on their atms than any other.
Even had customers call from atms saying never got the cash. Then while on the phone the cash comes out several mins later. Longest was 8 mins as timed by the debit and the customer on the phone. The Payments Council advises consumers to get in touch with their own card provider if cash is retracted, or isn't dispensed, regardless of who the ATM is operated by.
Which is correct. :TNever ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
i'm sure this is going to open some fradualent claims or complaints for compensation - both which the bank will lose out on.
i believe the only fault at here is the awareness of the customer to claim it back - that which should be taught by the bank.0 -

No chace of any further compensation. Fraudlent claims? Again no chance.
So you dont get your cash from a ATM. And you don't think to contact your bank about it.....
Its a bit like bying goods and walking out of the shop without htem... What do you do.Never ASSUME anything its makes a>>> A55 of U & ME <<<0 -
I just got £100 RBS ATM Refund plus £5 interest. It was on my statement with an Oct 2010 date. Bizare. I didn't claim it - it's a complete surprise. I can't believe that at some point I went to withdraw money, and didn't actually take it from the machine - why would I do that. Strange !. Anyway, I'm not complaining.0

I've just had a refund letter. They offered 2.88% interest as compensation for keeping £100 for 6 years, then calculated the compound interest wrongly and offered less than they should. I've raised a complaint to them. As far as I'm concerned the interest is whats due to me for them keeping the money for 6 years. The matter of compensation should be something additional on top, after all this is nothing short of legalised theft.0

That you failed the basic part of an ATM withdrawal?0
