Nearly pay day and I have a new plan for when I am debt free.

I went out shopping with friends earlier We are booking a major holiday and I am paying cash. I need to save about £5k. They wanted to go early next year but I told them that we can't go until I have saved the money, so probably June 2014 at the earliest :)

We found out yesterday we're having a little girl :) OH had a wicked birthday weekend, he got farrrr too drunk yesterday when I left him for an hour unsupervised whilst I had a sit down between people picnicing at our house and the pub. We've been out for a roast with the leftover money for his birthday party today and was a really nice way to say goodbye to everyone before we leave Cardiff.

3 days until payday and counting (we collect the keys to the new house on Wednesday yay!!!). Off to pack some boxes :D Hope you all had a lovely weekend, I'm chuffed to bits after our gender-scan on Saturday, I even cried, still can't believe it...a little girl :) xx

    Hi Everyone,

Sorry I've not been around for ages - I've been reading most days, but I've not felt like posting.

Sadly my lovely mum passed away on Fathers Day after a brave fight with cancer.:cry: Some of you might remember me posting last October when she was diagnosed. We really thought the chemo was working, but she never really got any quality of life back after her operation. We all feel so cheated - she was only 69 and hadn't even retired from her business. My poor dad is lost without her and so I've spent every other weekend travelling down to spend some time with him and to help sort out all the paperwork. It has really made me yearn to be nearer my family - in my younger years I couldn't wait to get away :o

Moneysaving has taken a bit of a back seat, but I haven't been anywhere to spend anything either. So I can officially report that I am debt free.
