My OH has been working super-overtime lately, and has just about got £5k together for a house deposit. He's decided he's moving out of his Dad's to buy his own place, but he's not mentioned one word about where I slot into it  I don't think he's dropping a hint or anything, I think he's just doing that blinkered man thing :mad:0

Oh no, have you talked about it? You could look at Rightmove with him and show him what his £5k would get him compared to if he saved double that and used both your salaries for a mortgage? Assuming you want to move in with him of courseDMP started Oct '17: £79,974 :eek::eek::eek::eek:0 -

If you are at the stage where you would like to move in then he is probably assuming you would move in but men don't think to talk about things like that. Either that or he's just so focused on moving he hasn't even thought about suggesting you do it together. i agree with starnac, sometimes men have no idea:rotfl:
sit down and have a chat with him!0 -
We did live together before we went long distance, so I assumed it was an unspoken agreement we'd move in together when I move to his new city. We've looked at places on rightmove together, and even looked at our joint mortgage prospects. At this rate, he'll have bought somewhere before I move back. Silly men.0
