i can't get accses to my noddle one yet because i didn't have an up to date visa card. changed the deets just waiting for santander to update the details with CRA....

it's really good for the OH's account, although it's worse than I thought and I don't think we'd be able to get a joint mortgage together any time in the next 6 years :P mine should be clear. ... so maybe a single application is still viable.

Noddle says I will be updated in 19 days. More waiting around!!

I have reduced my cap1 credit limit by £3000 and closed 2 empty credit cards so I'm hoping I will see those updates under the accounds section. I guess the credit limit doesn't change that often, DH and I are both at 608...so I presume that's a standard OK-but-not-great number.

I have 8 cards on there at the moment :eek: DH only has 2  although his are for large amounts. In 19 days I should have 6 and after March only 5 when I close my BOS CC :j

I have no idea what my numbers are! Predictably Noddle says OH is 1/5 - kind of to be expected. He has cleared the NW OD but hasn't
closed the account yet - just wanted to make sure it was actually gone.

I predict that HSBC loan and OD will be gone by end of March :j

My car loan will be finished (end of my 48 payments!) in May or June, can't remember which :j

Then we aim to hit the store card and sofa credit. Actually, half the store card total (£300) is my mum's but we are sort of paying it off anyway and she can just pay me back what she 'owes'. DFS is around a grand ... but they are bloody comfy sofas :o
  • Noddle is slow at updating too, I think they are a little behind the others but then it's free :)

Will it be even longer than 19 days then? Bum.

I am off to bed as I am shattered. Have a good night all, that's January done. Crappy month for the SpagBols in every way really so onwards and upwards.

  • Hi all! Time for my first update. I can't believe I have been
looking forward to getting paid today to pay some debt off!!

You are all such a great inspiration and I am feeling really positive! Not the biggest payment this month, as brakes for mine and OH's car both need doing and OH's car tax is due!

    #138 £286.71/£8,469.53 :j
  • I ended up having to use my credit card for some essential purchases *cough*newpet*cough* so have recalculated my total and made another payment to round things off. My total has therefore gone down, sorry

    783.30/3730 21% cleared

Am not going to beat myself up as I went overboard with payments last month. This month there's a lot of expenses coming up so I'm going to see what I can do, but only imagine another 1% will be cleared this month.

I cn't wait for tomorrow when Spagbol comes home from work :D

Everyone has done so well, even if you have not done as well as you would have liked, you have hopefully done better than you would have if you hadn't joined this challenge. This certainly applies to me x

I would never had paid all the money I have made on ebay straight onto my credit card, I would have spent it on the same sort of stuff that I have sold, and then sold that in a few months!

  • I have PAID OFF £340 all together SB which is darn fantabulastic.
Interesting that you are closing your cc accounts I know people advise that. But my bank manager said be careful particularly anyone out there who is self employed. Some law is coming in making it more difficult for people to get them and if you close it you may not get it back. Also they do keep sending 0% offers which makes tarting easier. I have only 3 so maybe not such a problem but keep a couple of them.
