my favourite Christmas film is National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. :j
sorry I haven't caught up with everyone. its crazy here.
I did a sausage casserole yesterday for the freezer and also sausage and bacon rolls for Christmas day, with real sage leaves wrapped inside. today I am making the Werthers Original Vodka and a gingerbread latte syrup. also have to wrap 2 presents that have to be taken down south by dd this weekend for her boyfriend.
I have so much to do. there is loads of craft stuff I was going to do but I am worrying I am going to fit it in, I was awake at 5 again this morning thinking about all the stuff I need to fit in. then I thought that no one is forcing me to do this and I am doing it to myself. so out of about 10 Christmas things I was going to make, I am cutting it down to 5.
I have about 15 things left to cook for the freezer before December 1st when things get hectic with ds's nightly Christmas entertainment. he has been booked by a masonic lodge now and he is already doing something that night, so that is a 2 event night, just hoping it doesn't snow. plus I have to get dh from the airport that night too as it is a Friday.

Noticed all the advent calendars are out niw! I love the lindt one, its £5 but its worth it!! Although ive overspent so much this month im really trying to reign in my spending until christmas or until i can work overtime!
Took they hampers back to my house yesterday, needless to say my boyfriend was pleased! Didnt realise how big the bottom of his wardrobe was and how much room they took up haha!

good morning, hoping for a good one, out for coffee at DNs to see babies, yummm. then this evening to the friends and family at dunelm where there is 20% off everything. Have had curtains for living room put aside and hope to get cushions and pictures to complement them, but as l have no eye for things am not holding my breath!
The pictures of cat and dog stockings made me lol, and it wasn't even 9am, well done.
It is DGs1 birthday in 2 weeks, but l am away on a wrinklies tour of Scotland, then l think it is a straight run through till Christmas, and I think I have only 2 adults and the grandnibs to sort out. The adults are DS1 and DIL, they usually send me a list of things they'd like, so until it comes....... I wish M&S would put their special offers of Christmas cakes, puddings and conserves on soon, then the final 2 hampers would look a bit readier.
Up and at em now, xxxxx0 -
Hi everyone, don't know if you can remember me from last year but now we are coming into November very soon. Christmas buying and planning in now fully in force. I have now this morning bought the last present for my youngest daughter so now onto my oldest. Teenagers are always the hardest especially when they give specific items that hold their value which are very rarely discounted. However I have managed to pick some bits up on offer using codes but no where near finished with hers.
Both me and hubby have decided to just do stocking gifts for each other max 50 pound as we are treating ourselves to a new sound system for the living room so watching christmas films will be so much better this year ha ha. we don't buy now outside our little family apart from his mum due to saving for a bigger house which we plan to do when he leaves the Army so we have a budget for christmas and everything else gets thrown into the savings account.
I have to admit I love these stags. Seen a lovely one in wilko which I might treat myself too. Also plan to go to primark and pick up those lovely red cushions that someone posted a picture off. Youngest daughter is doctor who nuts so she is having a doctor who themed hamper and apart from a couple of bits that is nearly completed. Oldest one I am doing like a movie night one as she is so hard at the moment and not into anything as such.
Also need to take a trip to lush too at some point christmas is not christmas without some lush bath bombs.
Going to order Arthur christmas on blu ray or Nativity the first one from sainsburys which one would you suggest? We have seen Nativity 2 in the cinema last year but not seen the first and everyone does say that the one with David Tennant is the best. Can't decide which one to order as a Christmas Eve film. Can't believe this thread been going all year. Everytime I mention christmas to hubby he looks at me stupid but on the 1 st Novemeber Michael buble christmas will be firmly placed in the c.d player whether he likes it or not!'There are far better things ahead Than any we leave behind '0 -

Went to sainsburys tonight, got the advent calendars, choc oranges £1 each, stocking chocs, and more chocs, mostly all on offer i saved £8.50 :money:i saw the cinnamon and mint choc pringles, DD1 wasnt keen so will get them another time
NANAMIA DS is a lot brighter today, he has been editing the promo he filmed so it gave him something to do, and DD1 came home from work and said the head of marketing (who DS is filming for) told her 'i love your brother, i wish i could make a job up for him to work for us here in marketing' I wish she could as well :rotfl:and it cheered DS up no end! That is what i hate about decorating, you always end up paying out far more than you intended, i really want to paint some built in units in the front room but i know i will have to do ceiling and walls as well so it will have to wait.

All year through0 -
Just popping in to thank OMO, Pixtotts, mkgirl1981 for their cat Christmas pressie suggestions.
Nearly bought all of my presents now but have had to put some purchases on hold as we have booked a holiday next month to the Scottish Highlands and I need to save the pennies.
We have a few new friends that we have made this year and I am wondering whether to get some extra presents in just in case they present us with something. This has happened to me before and I was embarrassed as I hadn't got them anything. Might just buy some extra biscuit tins, Christmas beers etc.0 -
