Nanamia-So sorry your DSIL is not doing too well at the moment.
It is not selfish of you at all, selfish is definitely something you are not! Wonderfully selfless and caring, yes! So glad the Drs are listening to you, terrible how sometimes you have to push and push! Thinking of you all. xxx
Island_Mum-How terrifying for you, what an extremely stupid woman to toy with not only her life but others too.My OH drives me mad with food, he'll moan theres nothing to eat (grab, more like) but when we're in the shop and ask him if theres anything he wants he says no! Argh! Meal plans are as natural as breathing now to me lol, I dont set the days as sometimes you dont fancy something but I always plan enough meals for 6 days. (always do 6 as usually have dinner at my mums once a week)
emalou88-Poor you with toothache.Ive had toothache since before christmas, its just awful.
Do you think its infected? What about going to the emerency dentists, here its only about £18 an includes the prescription? xxx
ReformedShopaholic-Im 24 (25 in march) and still have no idea what I want to do as a career/job. So hard when you just hit a blank! x
Hanley25-Oh the poor little JR, what he has had to go through. Glad he is pulling through. x
Chirpychick-Hello!! :j Sorry you have both been poorly.Glad you are both on the mend.
I ended up buying little extra bits too as things were reduced nearer christmas, the result is we have a cupboard and plastic tub full of chocolate and biscuits which we dont fancy! Will cut down even more next year!
Franklin is gorgeous, a super baby indeed.
Snugglebunny8-You are not alone in the anxiety, my heart goes ten to the dozen whenever someone knocks at the door or the buzzer goes. Our buzzer is so loud and makes me jump out of my skin, hate it! Someone talking to me makes me panic amongst everything else lol. Heres to banishing anxiety in 2013! xx
Thankyou for the pasta sauce recipe, I need some iron rich recipes as I suspect Im terribly amaemic (no blood test to confirm because of blood test phobia but hopefully if i take iron tablets and eat iron rich foods i can at least start to feel a bit better)
freespirit66-It is good to know of others in the same boat isnt it. I feel like a pathetic mess most of the time with anxiety, depression, money problems, DS' behavioural problems and not feeling well/having toothache but not being able to sort it due to blood test and dental phobias.Hope 2013 is your year! xx
Archiebear-A belated happy birthday to you. xxx
lazysheep-Easter bits were in the shops Boxing Day, madness!
Very much looking forward to Easter this year, especially as its my DS' birthday on Easter Monday.
Own_My_Own-How are you feeling now? I do feel for you.How exciting that Robbie is on his way! Best of luck to them, hope her labour speeds up soon.
MrsBunny-Hope you feel better soon. xx
picnmix-Well done on giving up smoking! OH gave up completely cold turkey about 2 years ago, he'd just had enough of it. Id had enough of scrimping money together for his cigarettes too, it was so hard! It can be done and you're doing so well so good luck with it.
FeistyFidget-Well done on your fab pressie buying, will be lovely to know you're already organised and ready when it comes to mothers day/birthdays etc.
Happy New Year everyone!! Have to admit we didnt have a very good new years day as it was the same as usual with no money and mess and chaos as usual. Really want things to change in 2013. Fed up of living pound to pound and having to borrow and also everything being so chaotic and messy. Things need to change! Sorry being all gloomy lol. x'They only had one cow!'0 -
sorry not been on for a while, going back to work has really put me in feel-sorry-for-myself mood this week! will have a proper catch up in a min (on pg 29 at mo), wanted to say thanks to all for the encouragement & ideas re dd's science hamper, im really really excited & cant wait to start getting bits (off to hb sat so hoping to pick up a microscope!).
a bit late, but my new years resolutions are:
stop smoking - only had 1 so far today so on my way!!
pay off overdraft
save £500 by end of year - this will be spent on a weekend away after xmas for me & dh, and on a MAJOR sales spree!
loose another stone (plus the 4lb ive put on in dec & whatever else goes on due to stopping smoking!)
quite a list, but all acheivable with a little hard work & determination - luckily theyre 2 of my strongest points lol! It's not about getting what you want, It's about wanting what you get.0 -
Ooh just had a dispatch email from dotcomgiftshop, very excited to receive my order as I missed the summer sale due to lack of funds grr. Must admit I shouldnt have ordered as lack of funds this time too but was naughty.
Actually looking at my order Ive just realised Id double bought for a birthday, I had a niggling feeling Id already bought them something but couldnt remember. Oh well, Christmas 2013 sorted lol.
This year I want to make sure Ive saved enough money for the Tesco/Boots toy sale that happens around September/October. Also going to save for some vouchers with Park. (hopeless with saving actual money so this is the best option!) Am also going to write a list now of Birthdays/occasions/Christmas presents needed and ideas. Im usually quite organised but theres usually a panic with around 1/4 of birthdays and about 1/2 the main christmas presents so am trying to be 100% organised this year! That includes cards and wrapping paper as they are usually last minute!'They only had one cow!'0 -

hello all you lovely ladies with a fitbit. I am thinking of getting one each for me and OH as we both need to lose weight. all your enthusiasm has rubbed off on me and I am well impressed with it. however I was wondering if you could tell me exactly what it is used for. Is it a way of tracking weight loss and exercise? do you need to use it in conjunction with a weightloss programme to control what you eat. My question is you can track all you like but if you are not doing anything to rectify it it is a waste of money.
feistyfidget well done on your bargains.
I went back to sainsburys and bought a few things for birthdays, Christmas and mother's/father's day. Am pleased with what I have so far
snugglebunny I know how you feel about the postman. i leave the post for OH to open
moneysavingmumofone well done to your OH on giving up smoking and good luck pinknfluffy. my OH gave up about 20 years ago
own my own hope Robbie arrives soon
nanamia sorry to hear your DSIL is not doing too well at the moment but wll done for getting the doctors to listen to you
moneysavingmumofone/emmalou sorry to hear you are both suffering with toothache and hope it gets better soon. my ds1 (14) has to have two baby teeth taken out on Friday. OH is taking him! he doesn't do pain very well but I am hoping that he won't be phased by the anaesthetic needle as he has to have blood tests every three months but think that may be a bit optimistic:(saving for ds2's summer international scout camp - £200
£60 deposit paid :j £100 paid:j £40 paid:j0 -
Thank you weeclick. What a brill price. I will look on ebay from now. Well done on your weight loss. The easy bit is to get the weight off the difficult bit is keeping it off. I can never go back to feeling the way I did with the extra weight also I don't have anything to wear in a bigger size lol.
I take it the ultra is the one that checks your sleep pattern. I think it will be very interesting to check how many hours I do sleep. I can not exercise as I have a frozen shoulder and need an op in the next eight weeks. I can walk and love taking my lovely dog out. Thanks again. xSealed Pot Challenge 1441

I would love to comment on the thread, but was advised by MSE to just report her if it started again. So I am doing as I am told.:D
Oh I'm not even bothering to go back there, I don't want to be barred!
We are better than that0
