I have checked in the App Store and it's not there
I am updating the phone as I type. If it's gone from there as well I am lost.:eek::eek:Own_My_Own wrote: »ALJA What I meant is,
If there are 140 cards on your list, do 10 cards a week for the next 14 weeks.
If you have 28 presents to wrap (and you already have them) wrap 2 presents a week for 14 weeks.
Well if my app has gone on my phone as well I have found an almost identical app to download. It will mean starting again, and all my archived lists will be gone forever, but ha ho.
I have a feeling it is the same app with a different background. The old app hadn't been updated for 3 years, so may have been bought by another company. Only the new owners want 69p. Yes 69p :eek:You poor thing
Am now thinking that maybe spreadsheets and an actual physical folder are the way to go. I hate mess, so would much rather be able to digitally delete something, than score through or rub out, but at least there is a better chance it will survive year on year :rotfl:
Thank you all for the kind words today. Great fantastic news DH visit to his consultant surgeon went very well and he doesn't want to see him for a year.... Wooo hooo 52 weeksso very delighted I cried when he said it and have been smiling since. Mr J, said dr is the most truly a miracle worker and DH is 9 years cancer free because of him and his magic fingers
As you know DH has multiple health concerns but this is one very big box well and truly ticked
I couldn't be happier xxx
Well that appointment was 9.15am then home to see my darling friend and make a few phone calls. Much more positive news than we first feared, she to have further investigations but odds on a good outcome are high. What a difference a day makesx Thank you all for the support it means so much.
:T That is fantastic news Nana! I am over the moon for you all :j
Junior J, you poor thing - sending you get better hugs x
Well DH loved the shopIn fact he was very animated and involved in the business take over discussions with the current owners. For someone used to being a sole owner, this may take a bit of getting used to - fingers crossed it will all be fine
Official take over day is 14th and will be open for business on the 15th - set to have a special re-launch 'party' on the 19th. It really can't come quick enough! Now we have the extra workshop, I don't have to worry so much about space - will make sure the workshop stays (relatively) tidy and then I can use it to host craft workshops

nanamia- that's wonderful news about your OH and positive news about your friend xx.
OMO- argh_ blinkin phones and tablets are brilliant until they have to be updated aren't they? I feel your pain- been there done that got the flaming frustration headache from it!
Feisty- the shop start up sounds sooo exciting
Welcome everyone new to the board (says she the newbie herself!). Mrs Hayes- I think we all are in danger of investing a little too much emotionally in Christmas so that when little things don't go to plan we are in danger of a major meltdown (or is that just me?) Factor in outside influences (ie family friends etc) and that major meltdown can escalate into nuclear fall out. I really hope that this Christmas year is waay better for you xxx.
Junior J- sending you hugs and echoing Freespirit's kick up the bum vibes to the Hospital xxx
Looking forward to QVC's Christmas shows next week- is it me or are their Christmas products becoming ever more tacky? I do love the sparkly fairy lights though! I have solar fairy lights running along the wall behind my pond and I love it now its dark -they are so twinkly! This is the first year I have had this set so I don't know how long into the winter they will continue to light up-hopefully I'll have ages yet of night time gazing! (ooh-that sounds more than a little wrong!:p)
Off to start mammoth round of housework- DD has a friend sleeping over tonight after a beauty blog event they are both invited to at Selfridges.lovin' this site!

I did Lego minifigure bag feeling today, trying to find the gingerbread man. I managed to get two bloody welders.
I must literally be the worst Lego bag feeler on the planet.
last year DD was into Moshi Monsters and she had every figure in one set bar Bobbi Singsong. It could only be found in blindbags or as the mystery moshling and were selling for an absolute fortune on ebay. I have a xmas bauble that splits it two that I put some trinket in. These are commonly found now but mine was bought when kids were small in France and used since. I really wanted to put Bobbi Singsong inside the bauble for DD to find on Xmas Day. On youtube we found videos of several children finding the desired moshling in certain same packs where you could see the rest of the figures, so on Xmas Eve I braved the crowds at Tesco to buy said pack, and then sat in the car-pack and eagerly dived in to get the mystery one out...it wasn't the one she was after and I'd just wasted a fiver!0 -

Spendless - I saw the beauty advent calendars last year and wanted one so much! But the ones I'd seen were over £100!!! Silly as it's made up of samples that are usually given away by the brands as free, it's even a promotional item as you could try the sample then buy the full size! My friend and I are making our own and swapping them, have been collecting samples for it - so will both get a lovely advent callendar for free!
Nothing much going on here. I'm tied to the house as car has failed it's MOT and can't be repaired till next week, and can't go anywhere due to medical appt later today. Forced to do housework, unfortunately.:rotfl:0 -
Morning all!
I think a felt advent calendar will work best for a DIY one, as the samples may be too big to fit in small drawers, but would be ok sticking out top of pockets as we wrap them! It can work with other hobbies too - one year my cousin and I swapped a craft advent calendar - just included some little bits for each day!
Well I had my most MSE moment ever yesterday! Sold a babygate I had for Penny for £10 when I only paid £3 for it at a carbootsale! I only feel a little guilty!...0 -
What is the gift app (I know that sounds like a stupid question:rotfl:) I just use a notepad on my phone and spreadsheet on laptop but a gift app sounds good may try looking for it later after work.
Couldn't see the coal in tesco yesterday, ds bat signal light has come so has the superman sticker book. Its all starting to come together.
I am going to try and do linkys list later too so I can see where I'm up to. Welcome to the newbies everyone is friendly so don't be afraid to join in.0 -
Just noticed on HUKD that Body Shop are giving away a free hand cream worth £5-might be useful for anyone doing beauty hampers/stocking fillers etc.

Quickie, am at work. I think it was the sign in code that stopped the app working.
So if you have it, take it off before you update.
I'm really not looking forward to starting all over again this evening.:(0 -
<---- Lurks a lot xx Could anyone advise me whether its cost effective for a seven year old to have an ipad for christmas or an android tablet im being told android tablets are fine and do practically what an ipad does but how do they get away with charging so much for not a lot extra, my sons really careful with his things and it would be his main present so dont really mind paying for a good one, any advice would be a massive help xx:rudolf:christmas groc challenge:eek::snow_laug
