I'm so far behind with Christmas prep this year its scary , ive been buying bits and pieces using the money ive made selling on ebay, ive been trying to get all my selling done before the new fees come into force i believe in September.

DD has to go in to Sheffield children's hospital on Wed to have her VNS battery replaced , we were told it had a 10 yr life but its only been 3 1/2 yrs !

On a brighter note her ESA claim has sailed through so that's the £200 per month she needs for college sorted.

CHRISSYG I hope your DDs appointment goes well.

Don't stress out too much about Christmas, if you've started now then you're already 4 months and 2 weeks ahead of a lot of people!

We are The Range in Glasgow. So exciting, unfortunately it's in a place where I'm not sure how to get there, I drive but am not confident going places I don't know, need to be brave though as can't ask the OH to take me (he knows where everything is!) because can't be having him moaning about my browsing / buying!! Is going to be great for Christmas things, hopefully next month!!!

I remember a few years ago we didn't have Home Bargains, B&M, Dunelm etc. now we have all of them locally, I'm very spoilt. Sorry no point to this post, just like being able to shop in places I hear of on here!!

I started the Christmas cake yeterday, 3 weeks behind usual schedule!

The dried fruit, mixed peel & cranberries are marinading in half a litre of ameretto (decided to change from rum this year). I will give them 2 weeks to really absorb allt he booze then will bake the cake.
Mum has asked for a non aclo one this year too so will do her a little bread tin sized.
I don't respond to stupid so that's why I am ignoring you.

Ooh I didn't know we had a Range near here. Where abouts is it? Someone told me to try there for something I was looking for. X

I love the apron Fiesty. I do agree that my daughter would love a pretty one like that. X

I'm feeling very low and anxious at the moment, lots of little things getting to me. Including a selfish, huffy, petty friend who is ignoring me and another friend over nothing. I don't like people falling out with me.

On a brighter note, my Christmas at the...signs have really taken off. I have another 12 on order. X

It's going to be on London Road, near the estate that has DFS etc. Think it opens this Friday!

ChrissyG - ebay are putting in MORE fees? I already don't bother with selling any more, because by the time you take into account the fees, paypal fees and the cost of postage now it isn't worth it. Costs more for the packaging and petrol to the post office. I'd rather just give things to the charity shop and let them have the money. It's a shame, another thing wasted by greed.

I'm looking for some ideas - I bought these mugs with the thought of making them into Snowman Soup gifts but they are TINY (the size of an expresso mug. I was expecting them to be smaller than a normal mug obviously, but the right size for a child - not doll sized!) I've complained to Baker Ross about the inaccurate picture but doubt they'll do anything and it will cost me to send them back. What can I do with them do you think, they are too small for choc mix etc? Do you think I could just fill with christmas sweeties and cello wrap?

POPPYGIRL you could do some chocolate dipped candy canes to put in them if you think the mugs are big enough to hold them (very easy to make) and wrap with cellophane? Like these:

Thanks LindaT - those candy canes look fab but I think normal sized ones will look too long and out of proportion in the teeny tiny cups! Perhaps mini candy canes would work!
