freespirit, that has just inspired me to reach out to an old friend that has been rather absent from my life since she moved to London :(

Aaah FEISTY that is so nice to hear, i must admit i am terrible, i think if i havent heard off someone then they dont want to hear off me, i really should be stronger and sometimes be the first one to contact someone.

Popping out of lurkdom. Hi all.

Really sorry some people are going through tough times at the moment. Hopefully all the kind words from the lovely people on this thread offer some comfort. I know they have to me in the past.

I have just done my good deed for the day. My next door neighbour was a couple of people I front of me in the queue in the local shop and couldn't afford all her shopping. She had only picked up what looked like essentials and 1 pack of sweets I assume for her 8 year old twins. She asked them to put the sweets and her margerine back. I asked them to add them to my bill. When I dropped them off I have never seen anyone so grateful for £2 of shopping. I have been through some tough times over the past couple of years with DH out of work and know what it's like to not be able to afford basic things. It felt really great to be able to help someone else. She's promised to pay me back but I've told her not to worry about it. She's always passing clothes and toys down from her kids to mine so I really don't want the money back. :)

In other news dd's birthday party was absolutely brilliant. We had a princess party and Cinderella came to make crowns with the children. It was one of the best paties I have been to and dd has not stopped talking about it for the 2 weeks since! :T

I now need to sort ds's party for May. He wants a skylanders party so any suggestions will be much apreciated.

OMO hope you're ok and will be back with all your amazing advice soon.

    Bye for now.

Oh HANLEY what a lovely lovely thing to do for your neighbour, i bet she felt so embarrassed in the shop and you were thoughtful enough to help quietly x

Pinksteps you are all in my thoughts, I'm so sorry to hear your sad news.

Linky Linky my darling :( I'm not even going to comment on your Drs advice it's been said already. Lets hope your own dr is back quickly and she can get you sorted, on the right meds etc. I am so pleased to see you back tho :) we've been worried about you xxx

Hanley hiya, glad to see you posting, what a lovely thing to do. The little things always mean so much :) like Caitlyn says your good deed with come back to you threefold x The party sounded brill good luck with planning for your DS's

Another hectic week in the house of Nanamia :) busy busy busy
DSiL is amazing and now walking with just a stick- superstar
DH still grumpy but still a non smoker so another superstar - missing the sunshine big time and DS I think (but he's not ready to talk it through yet)
DGD2 my little miss sunshine is just adorable and has popped in for a sleepover :)
Making a cake this weekend for a friends friend! In the shape of a pot noodle ha sounded ok when she asked me (I was sat on the beach in Oz) now seems a bit daunting, she's collecting it Sunday.
    Night night

Eta: loving the Pintrest maybe when our Linky is back on form she could put them together for us?

You have gotten me hooked on pinterest again - thank goodness I am having a secret weekend off of work (all 3 businesses :) ) or else that could have been quite the time waster ;)

Nanamia - I would love to see a pic of the pot noodle cake when you've finished. I did a jewellery box/treasure chest for dd, that was difficult enough and it was an easy rectangle shape! :rotfl:

I'm going to attempt a skylanders portal cake for ds after looking at the pinterest board kindly posted on here by jakesbakescakes. :)

In the meantime I need to start the invites for SIL's wedding. Only problem is I've done 3 mock ups so far and each time I do she changes her mind on the colour scheme.
