Best MPG from these cars...?

Hi all,
I know this has probably been asked a thousand times before but please humour me!
I have been offered, and accepted, a new job which has fantastic prospects and is a big step up for me so I'm really pleased.
Problem is, it's 50 miles away, so a 100 mile round trip per day.
I need to get a new car as my Mini One is eating petrol like it is fizzy juice.
I am looking at:
Golf Bluemotion
Audi A3
Seat Leon
Those are the 'types' of cars that I like - all 3 door more than likely. Small enough for me (a woman!!) but still big enough for the essentials (shopping!!).
Anyone have any idea of the MPG of these cars? I mean the real MPG, not what the manufacturers quote!
Thanks

I'd a 2010 Passat 2.0 TDI Bluemotion 2 and it was doing an honest 60mpg.
The Bluemotion technology is probably 'worth' another 5-6mpg over the standard equivalent car.0 -
Thanks Paul, my partner had the Passat as a works car and that is what has put the idea into my head about the Bluemotion. Passat a little bit too big for me though!

Hmm, seems my 11 year old car is too old for feedback on that siteRichardD1970 wrote: »
Parkers have always been pretty spot on for me & those i know +/- 1-3MPG.
Do you not do much shopping though? I think the boot on those A3s is tiny.0 -

The boot in the A3's is huge! Even in the convertibles it is a decent size. I have a Mini One at the moment and I can hardly fit 4 bags of shopping in it! Previously I had a Mazda MX5 so maybe I'm just not used to some sort of space in the boot :rotfl:

I always find its the BlueMotion/Econetic/BlueEfficiency cars that are the ones doing 90mpg on the motorways..0

I guess everyone is different.hieveryone wrote: »The boot in the A3's is huge! Even in the convertibles it is a decent size. Our reps have A3s. One has an 06 plate & the other a 57 - which is slightly different. I've seen inside the boot & i think it's quite small tbh.0 -
I drive a year old A3 and the boot is huge mine is a 4 door don't know if the 3 door has a smaller boot to be honest. MPG will depend on engine size, fuel type, how you drive it etc I get over 50mpg from mine it's a 2 litre diesel auto...0

If you want to see the sort of mpg people are managing go to www.fuelly.com and www.spritmonitor.de and you will find good records of those who keep a record of their fuel consumption."You should know not to believe everything in media & polls by now !"
