Dunelm Mill - Rubbish Customer Service

Placed an order on 8/12/12 for 2 x Cushion Pads (part of a Christmas present, strange I know but what I was asked for)

On 14th parcel arrives containing 1 x pillowcase and 1 x cushion cover.
I phoned Customer Services and they apologise, said don't bother to return wrong items, will send out right order by courier so they arrive before Christmas as date for standard delivery before Christmas had passed.

20th still no cushion pads so call Customer Services again. They apologise and say they will investigate as there is nothing on their system about wrong items or replacement being sent. Will email me tomorrow morning to let me know what is happening.

21st no email. Phone again to be told there is still nothing on the system but they will call me and let me know that day what has happened. I had said about it being so close to Christmas but was assured there is still enough time for it to be sent.

Still no call at nearly 7pm (when Customer Services closes) so I phoned again.
They are very sorry again. Items will be despatched on 22nd, delivery refunded but will not be here in time for Christmas and email will be sent that morning to confirm they have been sent.

What a suprise no email .

I called today and told them to cancel the order.
Once again they are very sorry but made no effort to actually sort out the issue and didn't seem particulary bothered that I had cancelled the order.

Thanks Dunelm Mill. I'm left with 2 items that I don't want ( and can't seem to give away as they are not very nice) and no cushion pads.

  • Send an email to Customer Services outlining what's happened and explaining how much stress and inconvenience it's caused you. I complained after an online order was cancelled a week after I placed it and received a £10 gift card by way of apology - worth a try anyway.
