Student refused CC and 2 Overdrafts?

+1 And don't expect to get accepted for decent credit cards or get good limits until you have a few years of good credit history and an income. It takes time
I applied for the entry level Barclaycard CC with some 29-30% APR, but I believe I may be being rejected on the unavaliability of a history on me.
This is because I did a free credit check with Noddle, and they were unable to give me a check, so I believe this is what happens when the banks try to credit check me - they just can't. I believe this will be due to the electoral roll thing, so I'm going to get onto registering onto the roll at my home address.0 -
Natwest Student card will be available to you0

Try the Aqua Credit Card 3% cashback. Nobody would even give me anything either, until these guys.
definately get yourself on the electrol roll, and get some sort of DD set up from your current account. That's what the bank lady told me.0 -

You can actually register to vote at both addresses, as log as you only vote once in any non-local elections. Checking your report is a good idea as you'll be able to see exactly where you stand credit history-wise. You could also try pressing the last lender to turn you down because industry guidelines require them to tell you the main reason for saying no, although you often need to ask first.

I'm considering doing this in a few months so that the multitude of recent credit checks have cleared, and once I'm on the electoral roll etc. However, I fear I will be rejected as I don't actually use my student account as my main account, so there's actually very little financial activity going through there, which may be one of the reasons I was rejected their overdraft.Try the Aqua Credit Card 3% cashback. I saw that card, if I'm rejected by NatWest/Lloyds after about 3 months of being on the electoral roll, I will apply to it, thank you

Hi, thanks for your response.
I tried doing a free credit check and it failed, so I believe the issue is actually that I'm unidentifiable, and thats why the overdrafts and cards are being refused - because the bank's credit check fails.
Do I have a time limit to phone them and ask why I was refused the CC? It was with Barclaycard.0 -
