Barclaycard Purchase Protection insurance

Hi guys first post on here so please be nice :o

I purchased a Google nexus 7 a month or so ago and absolutely loved it, until that is I dropped it (from a very small height i might add) and cracked the screen.

The good news is I bought it on my Barclaycard World which has purchase protection insurance :D.
I sent away all the claims documentation (to SOS insurance the company who cover the card) about a week ago and now I'm without my life saving tablet for the festive period.

What I wondering is has any dealt with the Barclaycard purchase protection insurance before?
how were they?
how long before you received your money?
how was it paid to you cheque? vouchers?

any advice on this matter would be greatly appreciated.
