So all this stuff about Cameron being an out of touch, posh boy is not relevant then?
Highly relevant, but not to the context of this part of the thread ?"If you act like an illiterate man, your learning will never stop... Being uneducated, you have no fear of the future.".....
"big business is parasitic, like a mosquito, whereas I prefer the lighter touch, like that of a butterfly. "A butterfly can suck honey from the flower without damaging it," "Arunachalam Muruganantham0 -
relevant in the sense that out of touch posh boys have little personal experience of the poverty that drives some families to food banks?0

99% of the population have never visited a food bank. So what is your point?DecentLivingWage wrote: »relevant in the sense that out of touch posh boys have little personal experience of the poverty that drives some families to food banks?
Are you saying that only people who have had money problems should be allowed to stand for parliament?0 -
I agree, but far too many are blaming Labour for the mess we are in, and not taking into account that this ecomical disaster was 'on the cards' or so some of the 'economists' are saying and that many countries outside of the UK played a part in this disaster.
So you are correct in saying, as i have just said,........Just blaming whoever is in charge at the time is not helpful
Yawn. Labour did leave the country in a particularly bad shape. To suggest otherwise is simply myopic.0 -
Labour left the economy at 4% growth! Link to the newspaper report on another thread - will see if I can find!0

As usual with British politics this problem cannot be solved by voting for a different party, as all three are run by out of touch posh boys with no idea what it's like for "normal people" unless you are suggesting that posh boy milliband gets his socialist champagne from the local food bank?
I do enjoy his attempts to brand Cameron as an out of touch posh boy though - I think Milliband actually doesn't see the irony and genuinely believes he is salt of the earth.0 -

On that basis (your 4% figure is reached by multiplying on quarter's growth by 4, the current rate of growth is 3.6% as q3 2012 GDP was +0.9%.0 -
