SAR Request

Hey

So I sent Barclaycard a SAR with a cheque for £10, all is well, they took the money and a fairly large letter arrived today with lots of paperwork.

Can someone confirm what I should get back with a SAR, as I seem to just have a bundle of copy statements from 2008, I was expecting a lot more paperwork, such as CCA and copies of letters that had been sent etc...

You will get back copies of whatever is held on a relevant filing system. This will not include documents on legacy filing systems which cannot be cross referenced. This may or may not include agreements which are old and not held on electronic systems for example.

You should get copies of whatever information you requested, and that the company holds under the relevant terms of the DPA.

If you followed the example template given on this site, you would receive a list of charges (or printouts of all transactions on your account as the company are not required to undertake additional work to provide just the information you want or in a format you would ideally like)

The template does not include a request for a copy of your CCA or other letters of correspondence sent, and according to the article on reclaiming credit card charges, I see no requirement for such copies to do so. :)
