Does Amazon automatically group separate orders in one delivery?

I ordered 3 things over the course of yesterday evening. As of today the status on all of them is "despatching soon" with the same estimated delivery window. I'm not bothered about getting them before Christmas, but it would be more convenient if they came in one delivery rather than having the lottery of three separate courier drops (especially reading about the Yodel issues on some of the boards).

Different things come from different warehouses so there is no way of knowing i'm afraid.0

Sometimes orders come in one go and sometimes not.
Sometimes even if you order multiple examples of the same item, in the same order, it still comes separately! [This happened when I ordered 4 packs of rechargeable batteries from Amazon]."The secret of life is honesty and fair dealing.
