None us plebs at work will be voting Tory, especially after this week. They have single handily lost 30,000 police votes from London alone. Bit of an own goal as Tories can usally count on us plebs and families

I wonder how many of the 30,000 might change their minds then if it it is established that Mitchell was stitched up. If they don't, then they weren't going to vote Conservative in the first place, which being public sector workers would be no surprise.

I suspect many policemen are embarrassed that one of their own has brought the police force in to disrepute. I'm note sure how many of them are Tory voters anyway.

I think a lot of them used to be Conservative because they thought the Tories would be a bit tougher on law and order and give them more support. Nowadays with the police having been turned into glorified social workers and obsessed with political correctness, plus the sense of entitlement among the public service sector which is exploited to the utmost by Labour, I would suspect that the majority of them are Labour supporters.

They are playing a very dangerous game. A government with any courage would seize the opportunity to rid the country of both the Fed and ACPO. And we would be far beter off as a consequence.

Indeed so. But I think you have there already answered why it isn't going to happen.
