Have a look here

If the website says you must re-confirm, then you MUST re-confirm. Otherwise, I think they can let your seat go to someone elseWarning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
I have taken plenty of flights with Ryanair, and have never reconfirmed - though i always turn up early (I'm a sad aviation geek :P)0

I've just booked a couple of flights with Ryanair and they say that email contact will be made to the email address in respect of schedule changes or cancellation. I think it's only if you don't book online that you have to confirm the flight in case of any changes. Didn't see anything about reconfirming flights.0

I've never reconfirmed flights. Usually check website before leaving home to ensure that the flight hasn't been cancelled.....but that's about it!!!0

Ryanair won't cancel your flights if you don't reconfirm, they just want you to check a couple days before travelling that your flight times haven't changed. They do email you if the times change, but if for some reason you hadn't seen their message then you'd lose your booking if you didn't show up for the altered flight.0

Thanks to all of you for answering my post. It does say, you need to re-confirm on their website, I was just checking. Sister is coming esp. to make a trip to Lourdes and I do not want to mess up. The price seems to be going up day by day sometimes as much by £20 for a single. Unfortunately I cannot book now until I hear from my sister and we plan to go at the beginning of June. Also when you book online, do you get a confirmation e-mail of your flights? It's just sometimes my printer plays up and cannot print straight away, also I need to send the confirmation e-mail to my sister abroad so that she can use it to get a visa to go to France. Thanks again.0 -

First time I am booking with Ryanair, do you get an e-ticket in the form of an e-mail? A bit concerned, printer sometimes plays up and if it is in the form of an e-mail, I can forward it to my work address and print it there. I plan to go in June and cannot book until the end of April as I need confirmation from my sister who is coming from abroad to Lourdes. Surprisingly the fare seems to be going up day by day. I am also wondering whether anybody has been to Loourdes recently. thanks0 -

How early have you ever booked a flight with Ryanair? It does say on their website if you have booked well in advance, you need to reconfirm. I have got their non geographical number courtesy of saynoto0870, it's in Ireland, am wondering how easy is it to get through them and not been put in the queue. Thanks.0 -
Also, because many airlines like Ryanair operate 'scheduled' flights, they are more unlikely to change, rather than charter flights as if you book a charter flight many months in advance, they are more likely to change. I think once the route starts operating on a 'scheduled' flight, they are less likely to change except under exceptional circumstances.0
