The advice given by others is excellent! I just wanted to add one idea that has worked really well for me, as I am in a very similar (but not competing!) area to you but the difference is that mine is a hobby/sideline and not my full time job, so maximising sales isn't really an issue for me. My brother gave me a good idea which was that with orders I send a card offering a discount on their next order for anyone who sends me a photo of their cat wearing one of my collars. This provides brilliant fodder for my FB page and twitter feed and also gets lots of engagement because as someone else says, everyone loves a picture of a cute animal. You may not even need to offer the discount, just add a line to your dispatch note saying "I'd love to see a picture of your dog in their new collar! Email me at ..."

I know it's a collar, I can tell how long ... I can see a photo, but that's not helping me to live the dream.

What material is it made of? Little fluffy might not like plastic.
Is it hand-stitched by elusive goblins from the inner world?
What's the country of origin? Maybe I want to BUY BRITISH! .... or not bothered.

But ... the bottom line is that you've not told me anything exciting, not lured me in, not made me want it.

I know see I can "choose your ribbon". Ribbon? Is it made of ribbon then? The fact I can choose the ribbon from an extensive selection of well over 40 exciting, fresh and stylish designs.... might have made me want it more...

Suck.... them ..... in .... kerching ... take the money.
