This is mainly a warning, but I am also very cheesed off with the aforementioned company.
I ordered some products off of them mid-November for Christmas presents, trying for once to have my shopping done before December.
A week passed and no items were received, I contacted their "customer service" team and 3 days later (should have seen that I was going to have trouble at this point) I was told to wait a full 14 days before the goods could be declared as "lost in the post", this is fair enough as many companies operate this policy, and it's the timeframe in which Royal Mail themselves class goods as lost.
Owing to the fact it was Christmas I decided to allow a little more than the 2 weeks out of lenience to IWOOT/Royal Mail, however I still had no goods.
I sent another email informing them of the situation and asking them to advise. 3 days went by without response, given that we were now ebbing into December I sent a rather "arsey" email to them expressing my shock, hoping that it would shift them into gear, several days later I finally got a response.
I sent a rather abrupt email asking for a replacement to be sent out ASAP
I heard no response that this message was received, or that a replacement was on it's way, so I sent ANOTHER "arsey" email expressing my shear disgust at their communication and company in general and I STILL haven't had a response.
I should also point out that numerous times I have tried contacting their customer service via telephone, only to be told "we'll get back to you" or calls remain unanswered, given my Job it makes it very difficult to make personal calls which doesn't help matters.
The sad thing is I used this company last year and the presents were well received, but I am a man of principle, and IWOOT have (in my opinion) abused the trust I have placed in them by taking my money and leaving me with NOTHING to show for it.
Luckily, given that I ordered early, I have been able to source all the gifts from Firebox who gave me excellent service through and through (so as an aside, fully recommend them!)
IWOOT is one to be avoided.

This is also the same company as "the hut" and "zavvi". I've never had a problem with them myself but they all operate under the same umbrella! This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

From my experience, when they are good they are very good, but when things go wrong their customer service is shocking.0

Don't use photo bucket very often
You'd think as I work as a security software engineer I'd have at the very least deleted some of that gaff... Never mind least you know what a handsome devil I was now ;-)
Anyways posted this thread to a few other forums and networking sites I'm part of and the general consensus seems to be the same regarding their customer service.
With one persons case being incredibly close to my own.
I can only hope my warning serves its purpose and highlights one customers negative experience0 -
Dented car, builds speakers, likes computers, fond of a particular girl, has long hair. That's what I learnt! Nothing outrageous, but still a bit revealing for a phisher.
Good reminder to be careful with putting stuff out on the internet...
You forgot the fonze!!!DEBT FREE AND PROUD'Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt'0 -
Well still no communication from them despite the promise of a phoneback.
Have now posted this review to a plethora of sites and I am really surprised at the amount of negativity I am seeing.
They were fantastic last year, not sure what has happened in the interim.0 -

You can please some of the people some of the time, all of the people some of the time, some of the people all of the time but you can never please all of the people all of the time0
