BMI baby card credit limit

Hello forum,
I applied for BMIbaby card last week. I applied it online, with capped £75 BT fee.
I received a letter today confirming a credit limit of 3500 pounds.
Now I have a salary of 38k, I have egg card with zero balance & with limit of 4500 pounds, hsbc graduate overdraft of 1000 pounds. I have a graduate loan with HSBC for 6000 of which 5500 is outstanding. I have unblemished credit history.
Now sole purpose of going for bmibaby was to get a credit limit of around 6000 so that I can transfer limit to egg money account and then to hsbc loan ac.
Obviously, I am disappointed in the credit limit which they offered me. I got it touch with them ( I was disappointed my call got transfered to India.....but to my amazement, believe me they were absolutely superb in explaining me their viewpoint on credit limit). After debating with them for more than 40 mins, credit limit was not increased.
Is there anything which I can do to increase the credit limit ? (My understanding is if I appeal against their decision and send them last three months payslips they might reconsider my application. I did ask the customer service and they denied that they could review my payslips and review my limit.)
