Amazon/Citylink tracking issues!

Bizarre! I placed an order for some last minute pressies with Amazon this morning (including a Kindle Fire HD for myself after my beloved Kindle with keyboard died ) and have just logged in to track it.

Below is the tracking info given :eek::rotfl::rotfl: States that it was delivered on the 11th December after being dispatched on 21st December to a different person in a different county:rotfl:

I contacted Amazon as, obviously, the tracking details are clearly wrong and I'd like to have the correct ones. The reply was 'It's an error. Ignore it' (no !!!!!!) 'it's a known issue'

Well,that's helpful when you want to track an order with a value over £200 isn't it!

Anyone else had incorrect tracking info given by them?

It did make me laugh!

Could be a recycled tracking number, although it seems a bit recent to be recycled normally they wait a few months at least.

If it is a recycled number then the details should update when CityLink scan it.

I've just read someone else on here had their order showing as delivered 10 days prior to dispatch with City Link.

Seems they are recycling tracking numbers far too quickly!

Oh well, it made me laugh
