I've just tried ringing the theatre direct number is 020 7379 3367. They should at least be able to tell you if there are tickets available for that date in the meantime but i'll give you an update next week anyway

Dirty Dancing is really difficult to get tickets for, particularly Friday and Saturday nights. In advanced sales it was the top selling West End show ever, somthing like £12 million in advance sales.

It sells out as soon as tickets go on sale, your best bet will probably be a company that does packages including hotel like Lastminute, Show and Stay, Keith Prowse. I work in travel for a short breaks company and tried to get tickets through contacts for myself and couldn't!

Top price seats are around the £60 per ticket mark plus booking fee.

I saw it at the end of March, and got tickets right at the back of the stalls, so we got a small reduction for restricted view. I think with fees etc the tickets cost £45 each. Bad news though I booked these back in September, for a Saturday matinee. I think you would be hard pressed to get tickets for july.

If you are looking for other shows I would avoid Guys and Dolls, I saw it with Patrick Swayze and it wasn't that good or worth the £150 we spent on three tickets. Chicago is a really good show, I didn't see it in the west end but a regional tour and it was fab. This advice is subjective of course, and everyone has a different take on things, years ago I saw The Lionking and have very fond memories of that.

I also recently saw The Producers in Mancheter, one of my friends got ill and had to drop out hence the spare ticket, I went because the ticket would have gone to waste and wasn't that fussed about seeing it, never really saw the film and tbh didn't think that it was my thing but it was fab, a really superb show.

    Hope you find something.

Oh check ebay, sometimes people are selling tickets for genuine reasons, you pay more than the face value of the tickets but you may get the tickets you want.

    Hi

Went yesterday matinee and bad news is i've never seen a show so packed there wasn't any spare seats at all that I could see. I checked for the dates you said but they haven't got any you could try returns on the day if you don't book another show in the meantime

Good Luck hope you enjoy your trip anyway

Ha! I was just going to reinforce the eBay message and there you go, you already got it sorted!

About two months ago we got ours Special Delivered on a Saturday morning for that evenings performance. A small town bus operator was selling unsold tickets on eBay at last minute and we nabbed a pair closest to stage up in the circle for about £70 I think!

    The show was excellent.

    Have a great day!

I know this thread is fairly old (!) but I have 2 spare tickets to go and see the show. I saw it last month and now someone has bought me tickets as a present - DOH! They are great seats, face value £66 each, well worth it as the show is fantastic! They are located in the stalls, Row O - perfect view!

If anyone is interested, let me know! And no, I am not a tout! :)
