... As I am sure I never had this conversation (To which I would defiantly remember) ...
But you also said that you "don't remember" signing for the account, and yet HSBC have produced a document that bears your signature. Since you've clearly forgotten that you signed for the account, it would seem equally probable that you've 'forgotten' about any preceding discussions with HSBC. Least ways, that's the way it's going to look to anyone who looks at your case, such as FOS.
Have a moan at HSBC by all means, they might offer a goodwill refund. Although I'd guess that since they've already been obliged to produce the signed document, you've already been down that route and they've said no.0 -
As has been said cancel it, if the bank have a copy of a form you have signed the chances are they did speak to you about it whether or not you remember it, I honestly wouldn't think anyone from a bank would forge your signature just to get £15 per month. I can see possibly a bit of confusion happening when you have been speaking to them about a account (I signed up for wrong account once, it was amisunderstanding , not really anyone at fault, I changed it as soon as I realised it and bank were happy to do so)and reckon this is what has happend0

people forget a lot of things when they want their money back, either that or they can recall exact conversations from 15 years ago.0

Hi everyone,
Can you help me? It seems that just under two years ago my bank (HSBC) changed my account from a standard current account to a pay monthly account to which I pay £15 a month. I don't remember signing for this account and yet the bank has produced a document that has been signed by myself. I believe I was miss-sold this account. I wasn't offered any alternative account and I don't remember even needing to change my account for any reason at all. So for 22 months the HSBC has been taking £15 from my account and I've had enough of this now and want my money back. I've read through their terms and conditions and it seems that I didn't even meet the criteria for this account anyway. What I want to know is, Isn't there a law that states that no bank/business/company is allowed to make an unjust profile from your loss if this puts you in an financially unstable position? I'm sure I've heard about this somewhere. Because them doing this on my already limited income is doing exactly that.
Could be the early signs of the onset of dementia.
I would urge you to see your doctor. Early diagnosis can help people take control of their condition and plan for the future.
Take care!

HSBC's position, and one that makes a great deal of sense, is that they have a document with your signature on. You claim you don't recall signing something, but you did. Thus your recollections are somewhat faulty. It casts some doubt on what you say.
As does the fact you haven't noticed the monthly fee coming out for two years. That's 24 opportunities to spot it which you have missed. It doesn't really stack up.urs sinserly,
