Okay, so my partner and I are in a lucky position where we can splash out for a nice television, to replace our tiny television that cuts about an inch off any program we watch and is so tiny that we can barely read any text the Wii shows us =(
Now, we're wanting around 32" and LCD. Our budget is around £500 - £600, but spending that much we want to make sure that we get the best we can
I did see the "official" search for cheaper LCD's that were in the £300 range, but we would like to go for the best quality we can (within the above budget).
A friend of ours showed us the Samsung LE32R74BDX 32" HD Ready LCD TV, which the cheapest we've seen is around £530 delivered. Though we would possibly need a speaker set on top of that, as a the reviews say sound is a little sub par.
Now I've just seen the Samsung LE32R87BDX / 32in HD Ready LCD IDTV, which is around £555. A review I read said that the sound is great, and it has 3 HDMI slots... but the standard definition picture isn't great.
Does anyone know the real difference between them? Which is the better once, is the second worth the extra £25? Would we still need a seperate speaker set with the second one (had seen a £60 full speaker set that included a DVD player which we dont currently have).
This is all really confusing... is it even worth spending the extra £200 odd.

After loads of research & User opinions I settled on a Toshiba 32WLT68, was sceptical about about LCD performance but this set is the best TV picture I've ever had, the Freeview is so clear, not had to alter any settings etc, can't wait for my SKY HD which I've got at half price.0
