God knows what counts for "powerful" these days.

I thought a 1.5L turbo diesel in a Mitsubishi COLT (Fiesta class) should be relatively cheap, and it was 5E before they messed with the insurance group, and now it's group 18! Might as well drive a BMW.
It's only 10.9 seconds 0-60.

You may miss the point that said BMW will now be a group 35 (or such). But it does seem the colt has suffered somewhat in the conversion.

The new groups just give more increments along the scale, it was 1-20 its now 1-50.

My car went from 8 to 15 with a 0-60 of 8 seconds.

My car before that has gone from 14 to 27 which had a 0-60 of 7.5 seconds.

seems they have generally doubled...mine went from 20 to 39

I do believe the general advise is if its more or less doubled then your insurance won't change due to it, I will say with me that is the case.

With that some cars have gone up/down in the process for many reasons.
