    Both cards were before dad died, They have had both cards for 7+ years and never defaulted. Just so heartbreaking to see my mum spend so much money in such a short space of time.... Mum can't be arrested, She wouldn't cope with it and I need to sort it asap...

    She wont be arrested for anything, anyway the credit was agreed before your father passed away. Speak to these companies and come to some arrangement its also worth askign if they can freeze the interest after you have explained the situation. If you find you have trouble dealing with it all get help from your local CAB office.
